Don’t Touch Electrical Outlets
Because dangerous electricity flows through electrical outlets, do not put fingers or toys into them, and tell an adult when you need help
💬 What Is That?
Mon-chan, the little monkey, found small holes in the wall. “Huh? What are these holes?” Mon-chan felt like touching them, just a little. But the holes in an electrical outlet are not toy holes.
🤔 What did Mon-chan find? Have you ever seen an electrical outlet?
💬 Don’t Put It In!
Just as Mon-chan brought his finger closer... “Stop! We don’t touch electrical outlets.” Mother stopped him right away. “You must not put your fingers or toys into the holes of an outlet.”
🤔 Why do you think Mother said, “Stop!”?
💬 Electricity Is Powerful
Mother said, “Inside an outlet, the power of electricity is flowing.” “Electricity is powerful. It can turn on lights and make a fan move.” “But if it goes into your body, it is very dangerous. That is why we don’t touch it.”
🤔 What can electricity help move? But is it okay to touch the holes of an outlet?
💬 If You Need Help, Call an Adult
Mon-chan moved away from the outlet. “When I want to use it, I’ll call Mother!” “That’s right. When you have a problem, or if something gets stuck in it, call an adult.” Don’t touch outlets. Tell an adult. Mon-chan learned an important promise.
🤔 When you want to use an outlet or when something is wrong, who should you call?
