Hansel and Gretel

Hansel and Gretel are close brother and sister. One day, the two of them lost their way in the forest. Hansel dropped breadcrumbs, plop, plop, so they could find the way home. But the little birds ate up the breadcrumbs.

🤔 The two of them look a little worried because they are lost. If you ever get lost, let’s ask a nearby adult or someone who works at a shop for help.

As the two of them walked, they found a strange little house. To their surprise, the house was made of cookies, chocolate, and candy. “Wow, it’s a candy house!” The two of them were hungry, so they wanted to eat just a little bit.

🤔 The candy house looks yummy. But is it okay to eat something from a house you don’t know without asking?

An old witch lived in the candy house. The old woman let the two of them into the house, but she was really a little scary. Hansel and Gretel were surprised. But Gretel thought, “I want to help my big brother.”

🤔 Even though Gretel is scared, she is trying to help Hansel. When you are in trouble, it is important not to try too hard all by yourself, and to call for help too.

Gretel was brave and helped Hansel. The two of them held hands and walked through the forest. And at last, they were able to go home. Hansel and Gretel learned how important it is to help each other.
