Typhoons

A typhoon is a big swirl of clouds that forms over the ocean. It moves forward while spinning round and round. It brings strong winds and lots of rain.

When a typhoon comes close, the wind becomes strong. Sometimes, a lot of rain falls. Things outside may sway and move.

🤔 On a windy day, how do leaves and trees move?

The weather forecast tells us whether a typhoon may come. Listen carefully to what people at home or your teacher say. Decide together with an adult whether to go outside.

On typhoon days, do not go outside. Stay inside a building. Do not play near the windows. If you are in trouble, tell an adult right away.
