One day, a kind girl found a big castle in the forest. The castle was a little mysterious, but warm light shone from the windows. With her heart beating fast, the girl decided to go inside.

Inside the castle, there was a big Beast. The girl was surprised. But the Beast did not speak in a loud voice. He said softly, “I’m sorry I scared you. You may rest here.”

The girl read books together with the Beast. They drank tea and talked together. Then the girl realized something. The Beast looked big on the outside, but his heart was very kind.

The girl came to love the Beast’s kind heart. “You are very kind.” When he heard those words, the Beast’s heart felt warm and cozy. There are many things we cannot understand just by looking at appearances.
